About

Mia Beaudoin-Dion is an Outaouais composer influenced by a wide array of genres such as classical, jazz, pop, and contemporary music. Inspired by these genres, she portrays versatile moods in her work from the beautiful to the strange, through to the ecstatic to the sad, or the heroic. She is especially interested in working on plays because inspiration often comes to her from the desire to evoke or support a narrative.

 

She holds a bachelor's degree in music composition and studied with Denis Gougeon and Ana Sokolovic. Over the past 10 years, she has produced music for Le Fâcheux Théâtre, Théâtre Tremplin, Karianne Lachance, the University of Ottawa, etc.
